Distributed Agent-Based Agricultural Knowledge Based Systems

چکیده

An architecture is presented that utilizes both knowledge-based systems technology and Intelligent Agents technology to design and implement computerized systems for agricultural management that are flexible, extendible, and reusable. While stand-alone knowledge based systems provide valuable agricultural management information, collaboration among several knowledge-based systems with related functionality promises an enhanced level of utility. By redefining knowledge-based systems as individual autonomous agents with well-defined capabilities, tremendous flexibility can be achieved. Complex problem solvers are assembled from individual agents. These problem solvers would then have capabilities that far exceed the sum of the capabilities of the individual agents. By thinking of the agents in terms of their advertised capabilities regardless of their physical location, this approach enables the use of geographically dispersed agents represented as web services to cooperatively solve complex problems.

An Online Q-learning Based Multi-Agent LFC for a Multi-Area Multi-Source Power System Including Distributed Energy Resources

This paper presents an online two-stage Q-learning based multi-agent (MA) controller for load frequency control (LFC) in an interconnected multi-area multi-source power system integrated with distributed energy resources (DERs). The proposed control strategy consists of two stages. The first stage is employed a PID controller which its parameters are designed using sine cosine optimization (SCO...

Adaptive Distributed Consensus Control for a Class of Heterogeneous and Uncertain Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems

This paper has been devoted to the design of a distributed consensus control for a class of uncertain nonlinear multi-agent systems in the strict-feedback form. The communication between the agents has been described by a directed graph. Radial-basis function neural networks have been used for the approximation of the uncertain and heterogeneous dynamics of the followers as well as the effect o...

Optimization of majority protocol for controlling transactions concurrency in distributed databases by multi-agent systems

In this paper, we propose a new concurrency control algorithm based on multi-agent systems which is an extension of majority protocol. Then, we suggest a clustering approach to get better results in reliability, decreasing message passing and algorithm’s runtime. Here, we consider n different transactions working on non-conflict data items. Considering execution efficiency of some different...

Maintenance of Distributed Case-Based Reasoning Systems in a Multi-Agent System

In many knowledge-based systems the used knowledge is distributed among several knowledge sources. Knowledge maintenance of such systems has several challenges to be met. This paper gives a short overview of a maintenance approach using so-called Case Factories to maintain knowledge sources and considering the dependencies between these sources. Furthermore we present a concept how our maintena...

A CommonKADS Model Framework for Web Based Agricultural Decision Support System

Increased demand of farm products and depletion of natural resources compel the agriculture community to increase the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in various farming processes. Agricultural Decision Support Systems (DSS) proved useful in this regard. The majority of available Agricultural DSSs a re either crop or task specific. Less emphasis has been placed on the devel...
